Motorcycle Repair: 2001 yamaha r6, fuel pump, r6

Question
when i turn the key on i dont here the fuel pump running to prime the fuel sys. the bike starts and wil run but sounds like it has a miss. could this be a throttle pos. sensor prob. or may b the fuel pump? just put new plugs in 2 weeks ago.

barry go to the overflow lines on the carbs ,blow in them , if the fell clogged then pass a small wire rthrough them this should help out wiht the miss also add some fuel injectir cleaner to the tank run it around for a few hours i guarantee u will notice a difference. if you need more help let me know ok.
