Motorcycle Repair: Front Brake pads replacement, screw driver, brake pads

Mike,  I removed my front tire with your guidance and before I put it back on I would like to change my brake pads out. Can you help? I have a 1999 soft-tail custom. Can you also advise with the new pads how much clearance between the pads and rotor there should be. Thanks in advance

Remove the caliber by removing the two bolts. Take a wide screw driver and open the pads so the new ones will fit ove the rotor. The old pads will slide out of the caliber and install the new ones. Install the caliber and pump the brake until the pads close. the pads should just barely touch the rotor when done
