Motorcycle Repair: Cleaning the carbs, ninja 250, gallon of gas

Question
I have a 1989 Ninja 250 and i cant get it to start up and im almost positive that its the carbs but i really dont know where to start cleaning them or what to look for when i am cleaning them... If you could give me an answer on how to do this it would be very appreciated... THANK YOU

get you a bottle of fuel injector cleaner drain tank pour an 8oz bottle in tank add 1 gallon of gas let it run or ride it about 3o minute then fill tank back up this should clean the carbs ok. if you need more help im here ok.
