Motorcycle Repair: Harley air shocks, air shocks, trash bag

It's hard to say how much oil is missing much of it was absorbed by the inside shipping box. the seller then repacked the first box by putting it into a trash bag and putting it into a second larger box.I would conservatively estimate that an ounce of oil leaked out.

Hi,
I recently purchases a used set of Harley air shocks for my 01 Road King on eBay. The seller did not cap the air fill ports and much of the hydraulic oil leaked out. Is this a repairable situation or are the shocks ruined?

Since you dont know how much oil was lost and if any was lost before shipping I would be inclined to return them. The only other thing you could do it check with a dealer to see if they know how much oil is in them and what type. they you would have to drain them and replace the oil.
