Motorcycle Repair: Motorcycle wont start., suzuki katana, booster cables

Question
I have a 1988 Suzuki Katana 1100. The starter kicks in but the bike doesn't even try to turn over and start. Can you please help? I'm desperate. I just got back from Iraq and I need to ride again.

get a pair of booster cables hook them to a hot battery take one of the hots go directly to your bike starter, then take the groung and ground it to your bike if it still cliks just lightly tap on it it will turn over.if you nee more info im here ok
