Motorcycle Repair: Carb. Float measurements, yamaha xs650, 650rider

Question
I have a 1983 Yamaha XS650 that I am trying to adjust the Floats. I have seen several specifications to go by. Anywhere from 22mm +/- 1mm to 27mm. Do you know what the right one should be. These are Mukuni BS34's Number 5V4

Hi David,

The specs are confusing all of us.

As a starting point, consider setting float heights in the center of the specs and tune from there.
