Motorcycle Repair: carborator needle valve, yamaha virago xv535, spring loaded plunger

Question
Hello. I have a '93 Yamaha virago XV535 with 12k miles.  I bought it used over a year ago.  I am cleaning out the carburetor.  I have reassembled it and was checking the needle valve. Mine has a rubber tip and spring loaded plunger on the other end (which is pushed against by the float).  For both carbs the plunger/spring seem to operate fine and the entire valve seems to slide in and out fine except when the valve is pushed all the way in.  After that when the float is released down the valve remains up.  See Hello. In reality, the fuel pump is always pushing fule on this valve and it would probably open easily, so this may not be an issue. Is this a sign that the valve tip is worn?  Does it need to be cleaned?  what would be the best way to clean it?

Thanks

Answer
yep its very possible the valve is worn or spring jamming up in side throttle housing chk to be sure the spring is not in a bind and also chk to be sure the needle valve is not bet, or the tip is not wore out.good lucj hope this helps you. dont forget to give feedback, and ratings  for me and keep ridin dude
