Motorcycle Repair: Yamaha YZF idle prolem, aftermarket performance products, jets air

Question
I have a 1997 Yamaha YZF 600RC that has been stored for over a year.  After replacing the battery (forgot to disconnect it) I fired it up with no problem.  After letting the engine warm up  I disengage the choke and it promtly dies.  If I leave the choke on I can rev it up to 3,000RPM then disengage the choke and it runs fine until I have to come to a stop, when I have to engage the choke again.  I was told that the gas may have cloged the carburetor and most likely the jets.
I've taken off the pan on each carburetor, removed each main and secondary jet, then cleaned the jets with carburetor cleaner and put everything back together.  Same exact problem.
I've also put a very small amount of carburetor cleaner in the gas a couple of times, no luck.
What else can I do to clean this up?

Answer
Ok, for starters don't use anymore cleaner in the gas directly.  U r going to have to thoroughly clean the carbs by removing the rack from the bike, but do not seperate them from each other.  Remove the bowls, jets, air/fuel mix screws and spray into each hole with carb cleaner and then compressed air.  Clean the jets again.  Install an inline filter b4 letting gas into the carbs again.  Good luck and let me know!  B4 doing any of this tell me if u have installed any aftermarket performance products.
