Motorcycle Repair: 1994 Road King, audible noise, trapdoor

Question
There was an audible noise coming from the primary case on my 1994 Road King.  I pulled off the case and found that the primary chain is rubbing the inside of the primary case. When I pulled it apart the inner primary bearing race was pushed into the main drive gear, ruining the seal. I pulled it off and replaced it.  The chain is still rubbing the inner primary case and the starter gear is rubbing the ring gear. There is just and obvious lack of clearance.  Is it possible that the transmission main shaft has shifted to the right and if so why?
Thanks!

Answer
The only way the main shaft could shift is if the trapdoor inside the trans was damaged. If it were I dont hing it would shift gears.
Check your clutch housing and make sure its not cracked where if fits on the mainshaft
If this isnt the problem let me know
