Motorcycle Repair: Jetting for an SS Carb, stock pistons, fire ignition

Question
Hi. I'm about to do a power increase for my 1997 Superglide and due to the fact, there is no place close by that can Dino tune a engine, I was hoping you could get me in the ball park with carb jetting. Here is what I am placing on the engine. (If it is not mentioned, than it is stock) Screaming Eagle heads (Compresson should be at 9.5 to 1 with stock pistons), Screaming Eagle Cam (SEH-11), S&S carbuator (47.6MM) with intake, Single Fire Ignition (Probably a Crane unit with Rev limiter set at 6,250) and Screaming Eagle Mufflers. I'm shooting for around 80 to 90 HP at the rear wheels. I live in the south so elevation is not a problem. I just don't want to start burning pistons from running lean. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Answer
Start with the jets that cam in the carb. Since you dont have a Dyno do a speed run. Follow the directions that cam with the carb closely and you will get it jetted right. If you dont hae directions then go to the S&S web site and there are directions there.
Good luck and happy riding
