Motorcycle Repair: gsxr600x electrical fault, electrical fault, resistors

Question
hi mark,

wondered if you could help me, i have a gsxr600wx, which has developed a fault where the head light flickers badly when you start to open throttle and when it reaches 3000rpm the head light dims badly, the voltage is 12.2v accross battery and 12.1v accross headlights untill you get about 3000rpm then the voltage accross headlight drops to 9-10v.indicators flash fast when you reach 3000rpm but only with headlight on, fine without headlight on.indicators are after market led with appropriate resistors on, but think indicators are a by product of another fault.

any ideas please?

Answer
Hi Lee,

I need to be present and inspect the conductors and components to diagnose this problem.

I recommend contacting the manufacturer of the LED lights and inquire about the problem. Most offer tech service troubleshooting.
