Motorcycle Repair: 94 750 Virago dies, electrical connector, shively

After being riden sev. miles the motor will sometimes either cut out or die completely. if it just cuts out it will kick back in with a loud backfire.Otherwise it runs fine, could this be caused by the ign. modual? Thanks for the help.

Hi Randy,

The cause of the problem may be the ignition module (CDI) or even a loose electrical connector, etc...

Easier said than done, but try testing the CDI with a known good unit.
