Question -
I have a 2000 road king classic with 13,000 miles. My problem is when riding at high or low speeds it will completely shut down (engine, lites etc.) After I stop, the lites come back on and I'm able to restart the bike. Hot or cold, same thing. Have new mufflers and stage 1 kit. Missed 10,000 mile service, was in sturgis.

First, check the positive and negative cable to make sure they are tight at both ends. If you have a bad ground the wil cause your problem

Answer
What you are going to have to do is start looking for a short in the system. I would suggest getting a wiring diagram if you are going to attempt it yourself.
Start, with a test light, going from the battery to the key switch. Also, check all connections to make sure they are good and solid.
