Motorcycle Repair: XR100 99 seals, honda xr 100, crank shaft

Question
How can I replace the crank shaft and shift shaft seals.

the look like they are on the out side so i think that I should not have to splite the cases.

I wish it was that easy for you.  But to replace the crankshaft and bearings you will most definately have to split the cases.

Also, the bearings need to be pressed onto the crank, you can have a dealer do this cheaply, or you take the risky way and use a pipe with wood splints in between the bearing and pipe for protection to press them on. I recommend the former.
