Motorcycle Repair: sluggish motorcycle, honda night hawk, hawk

I have a 1984 honda night hawk 750. Recently the motorcycle has been riding very sluggish to the point where the bike does not get enough speed to ride.  When I turn the throttle it sounds like the bike is going to shut off, and when I try to accerlate the bike sounds like it is going to shut off and doesn't get any speed.  When the bikes idles it doesn't sound bad.  When I accerlate at idle the bike sounds like its going to shut off.  I hope that you can help  Thank you for you time.

U r in luck!  Your problem is dirty carbs, well most likely anyway!  U see, when a bike falls on it's face it means that it's running very rich.  When it pops out the exhaust it means it's very lean!  So in other works, your machine is drowning in fuel.  Sounds like a carb issue 2 me!
