Motorcycle Repair: 1979 Harley FX Superglide front brakes., bike brakes, master cylinder

Question
I just installed new brake lines, I had them made for me and they are 3/16th lines, I am having a hard time bleeding the brakes, I am getting a spongy brake handle. I am using a mighty vac to help bleed the brakes, also this is a duel front caliper system, tried bleeding the master cylinder and each caliper, what is the secret. I know these systems are hard to bleed but should not take all day. PLEASE HELP

Thank-you
Dave

Answer
When brakes are spongy then you still have air in the system. Bleed them again and then let them sit over night. Your air might work its way to the master cylinder.
Bleeding bike brakes takes along time when there is no fluid in the lines. You are wirking with a very smal hole in the master cylinder
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
