QuestionI have a factory shop manual. I have checked the wiring. The fuel pump is good. I have power to the fuel pump plug but only while the turn signals do there flashing thing, when they stop flashing maybe 4 or 5 times, power to the pump stops?

I have just completed a complete rebuild of my '02 flstci, took about 18 months. When I turn the Ignition switch to start the bike, the turn signals do a light show, flashing 4 or 5 times, the fuel pump runs for about a second and then the power is cut to it, the bike cranks over like it should and every thing else seems OK. I have even tried to rest the TMS with no luck, OH, and I tried to jump the fuel pump, using the battery to the fuel pump fuse, I'm lost here and really need some help! Thanks

You going to have to go back and check your wiring. Get a wiring diagram to follow. You dont have somthing connected right.

AnswerThe fuel pump will pump up until it gets to pressure and then shut off. It should maintain a pressure, so it will cut in and out.
I am not sure why the turn signals are flashing when you turn the key on.
Are you getting spark at the plugs when you turn the bike over?
