Motorcycle Repair: 2004 Harley Sportster 1200c, 2004 harley sportster, trans fluid

Question
I bought my bike and it was sitting for a long time and I want to try and clean or blow it out.  what is the best way? to get a bunch of good tanks of gas through the bike and put miles on it? or to put in additives to the tank and run then through there too?  it is a carborated bike so?

Answer
First thing you need to do is remove the carb, take it apart and clean it. Its probably varished up.
Drain the fuel out of the tank and put in fresh.
Start the bike and let it run until its good and warm.
Shut the bike off and change the oil, filter and trans fluid and you should be good to go
