Motorcycle Repair: xs650 lighting, regulator rectifier, mc repair

Hi Mark
Could you give me an idea why there is a resistor in the lighting wiring of the xs650D (1977)and what it does?
Also is there a way to test the regulator in a solid state regulator rectifier?

Hi John,

If I remember correctly, the resistor is related to the Reserve Lighting System.
