Motorcycle Repair: my raptor 660 in first gear idles as if in neatral, clutch adjustment, linkage problem

i was riding it in a field , no jumps hills or anything. then it just stopped, however it did not shut off. i was still in third gear and it was just sitting there idleing. so i turned it off and put it in neatral, it worked and turned on perfectly, so then i put it in first gear and let the clutch out and it just stayed in the same spot. same problem with reverse and all other gears.

I suspect the problem may be simple and possibly related to a shift linkage problem or clutch adjustment problem.

I need to inspect the ATV to accurately diagnose the problem.

I recommend having a local tech inspect the ATV. Or, get a copy of the repair manual and try the troubleshooting procedures.
