Motorcycle Repair: Crazy Choke, suzuki gs, gs500

Question
Collin

I recently made a trade with my roomate where I acquired a 98' Suzuki GS 500e. It had been sitting in his garage a few months and when I went to start it the choke would not budge. It only moves 1/12 of an inch or so. What can I do to remedy this?

Answer
Try lube on the choke rail, or on the choke lever itself.  It may also have a serious carb issue, and that can usually b taken care of by a good carb cleaning.  Did u say it was a "98" GS500?  If not the above described will work until the beginning of time.  Have a good one!  Bsafe.
