Motorcycle Repair: REPLACE FORK SEALS, harley 883, allen bolt

Question
2003 HARLEY 883 CUSTOM SPORTSTER. I NEED TO REPLACE THE FRONT FORK SEALS AND I'M NOT SURE HOW? COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS?

Answer
First, remove the wheel, fender and brake caliber. Now remove the screw on the side of the fork and drain the oil. Remove the top cap. Inside the bottom of the lower leg there is a allen bolt. Remove it. Slide the fork dust cover up, out of the way. Inside you will see a clip. remove it. Slide the lower fork leg downward and it will come apart. remove the fork seal and install the new on. Put the lower back on and the clip. Install the allen bolt and the drain plug. Put in the proper amount of fork oil and install the cap. Do the other one the same way
Good luck and happy riding
