Motorcycle Repair: Clutch adjustment 76 sportster, clutch adjustment, clutch lever

Question
What is the proper way to adjust the clutch on a 1976 spotster, It is ok when it is cold but after it warms it won't disingage, and becomes very stiff.

Lossen the cable so there is slack in it. Open the clutch cover and in the center of the clutch you will see a screw with a locknut. Loosen the locknut and turn the screw outward. Now turn it inward just until it touches and then back out about 1/8 of a turn. Now adjust the cable so you have about 1/8 inch play in the clutch lever
