Motorcycle Repair: 2005 Sportster, okinawa japan, warm climate

Question
I'm a U.S. Marine stationed in Okinawa Japan. I just purchased a new Sportster 1200C. I have to let it warm up for over 5 minutes in the morning or else it will run rough and sputters until it has warmed up. I have followed the owners manual recommendation and use the enrichner until it is warmed up. In this warm climate, it seems to me that it should not take that long to warm up. I use 92 octane gas, so I don't think that has anything to do with it. Any suggestions, to get it to run better or do I just deal with it until my first maintenance check at 1000 miles.

Answer
The problem is your bike came from the factory lean to pass EPA standards. So when you start it it takes some time to warm up and get running right. You can install a Dyna-jet kit which will richen it up to where it should be and make starting easier
Good luck and happy riding
