Motorcycle Repair: 1992 Suzuki Lt250 Quad Racer electrical no spark, suzuki lt250, atv owners

I was driving along and the engine was running well then stopped!  No spark!  I tried a new plug, no luck! I checked the generator and it is sending some voltage but not sure whether the coil or CDI is bad.  Is there any way to test without buying new parts and hoping I guessed right?

Hi Bill,

Yes, there are tests that you can perform.

I recommend that you get a copy of the service (repair) manual and follow the testing procedures.

I do not recommend replacing any parts before verifying the parts are defective.
