Motorcycle Repair: timing, timing hole, hole plug

i have a 1976 sportster i think my timing is off need help with that. i also need help with wiring had to rewire it dont have no lkights.

On the wiring you need to get a wiring diagram and with a test light follow it to the problem. Start at the sey switch and work your way along.
As to the timing, once it is set it doesnt move. If you need to set it however, you will need a timing light and a clear timing hole plug.
Hook up the timing light and install the clear plug. Start the bike and lookin gthrough the plug locate the timing line. If you dont see it soosen the timing plate and slowly turn the plate
