Motorcycle Repair: battery removal on 2004 HD Low Rider, stock battery, battery removal

I have a 2004 Harley Davidson Low Rider. My battery went dead & I need to charge it. I removed the seat but found no easy way of removing the stock battery cover to get to the battery. Can you help?

Look at the top of the cover. You will see a strap. Follow the strap and you will see a nut tightening the strap. Loosen the strap and the strap will come off. It has a hook on the other end. The top cover will come off and you can get to the battery
