Motorcycle Repair: alternator, flh, stator

Question
Just accquired a 79 FLH owner says it needs an alternator and a seal on the trans main shaft.
What typically needs to be fixed on the alternator and can you get at the seal at the same time?

What you have is a stator for charging. There is no repair for it. If it is bad it has to be replaced.
You wil have to remove the inner primary to get to it. To do the trans seal you have to remove the inner primary, pulley and chain. the seal is located behine the pulley
