how do you undo the bolts holdin the front sprocket on

Hi Tony.

There are one of three methods for locking down sprocket bolts.

They are to use a reverse thread on a single bolt, use a reverse thread on multiple bolts, or ose a regular thread on multiple bolts but with a metal strip that bends into place and locks the bolts in place.
 The repair manual will have the details for your bike.  If you do not have one, but will be working on your own bike, then get one.
