Motorcycle Repair: Wheel Removal On An FXD 2003, axle nut, tight fit

Question
Am changing the tires on my Dyna FXD 2003 (Front and Back).  Looking for procedures to remove the wheels from the bike.

Thanks so much Bob

Answer
You have to jack the bike up. On the rear, remove the axle nut and the axle. The wheel will drop out when you jack up the bike. remove the belt from the sprocket. Keep jacking until you get the tire out. Do it in reverse. Make sure you have the brake pads open and get the brake disk inbetweeen the pads. Its a tight fit. Put the spacers in and the axle and the nut. Tighten to 60 FT/lbs.
The front is the same way.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
