Motorcycle Repair: Screen Removal, suzuki bandit, bandit 1200s

Hi Chris,
      I own a 03 Suzuki Bandit 1200s...I have purchased a double bubble screen to replace the original to cut out some of the wind as I am 6ft tall...Problem is I  cant seem to get the old screen off!I have undone the 2 allan bolts on the front but there is no give with the screen and I dont want to force it..Is there something else I should be undoing also?

Hi Ewan.

Go all around the screen and make sure that there are absolutely no bolts that you missed.  Check under the fairing as well as on the outside area of it.

If there are no remaining bolts, then it could just be stuck on from age and pressure.  Very gently try to pry the screen from the fairing.  If it feels like you will break the screen or the fairing, then stop and take it to a shop to remove.
