Motorcycle Repair: 1981 suzuki gs850, 1981 suzuki gs850, electronic ignition system

Question
first question, i had to rebuild the 4 carbs with new parts.gas reach the 4 carbs, but the gas won't go to the cylinders when i try to start the bike, why not?
second question, i also had to replace one exhaust valve. i did everything by the manual. but the manual is not good explaining about the timing procedures for electronic ignition system. is there a procedure? and how do you do the timing ?

Answer
Hi Mike.

How do you know that the problem is no fuel getting to the cylinders?

Are you sure that the problem isn't a lack of spark?

Check the intake manifolds for leaks and check the ignition circuit for shorts, blown fuses and bad components.

Electronic ignitions do not require timing adjustment, so just make sure that the valve gap and valve timing is right.  Synchronizing the carbs will correct ignition timing.

Let me know what you find.
Good luck and ride safe.
