Motorcycle Repair: not firing, boiling temperature of water, rm 80

Question
My son has a 2001 RM 80 that will not start. He has had no trouble with the bike until now. I went to take a look and found water and fuel on the sparkplug. I also noticed that the radiator was very low. What's the expert say?

Answer
Hi Keith,

Pressure check the cooling system and combustion chamber for leaks. Repair accordingly.

Get a copy of the service manual and learn about performing these procedures.

Anytime the cooling system is opened to air, air must be purged from the system. Cooling systems are designed to be air free. Air lowers the boiling temperature to just above the boiling temperature of water. Use a tool such as Mity Vac's "AirEvac" purge tool for this procedure.
