Motorcycle Repair: igniter, viago, bothe

hi mark i have a 81 750 viago gave to me by a freind told me thay ran it then one day it just started running on the back cylinder they changed pick-up coil still nothing it gets spark on bothe but it is a white spark.it changes from white to blue lots of carbon on front cylinder i was told it could be the igniter is there any way to test it of the bike or how do i go about testing it my self

Get a copy of the service manual. It has illustrated procedures for testing and making all repairs.

Check the ignitor with a known good unit.
