Motorcycle Repair: clucth ajustment on primo 3 inch belt drive softial, cluch, locknut

I cant figure out the starting point for ajusting my cluch do i screw it in till it pushes my lever all the way out or just until i see it start to move then back off a little?i know i am suppose to lossen my cable how much? just until its slack or all the way? thanx

Unscrew the adjuster in the clutch. Locate the adjuster int he cable and turn it until you have slack in the cable. Now slowly turn in the adjuster on the clutch, just until it touches or bottom out. Now turn it back about 1/8 of a turn and tighten the locknut. Go back to the cable and adjust it outward until you have about 1/8 inch play in the clutch handle. Tighten the locknut on it.
