Motorcycle Repair: Handlebars, gas tank, handlebars

I am interested in changing the handlebars on my heritage softail to beachbars with internal wiring, can you tell me how difficult it is to do, I want to be able to remove wires from plugs and reinsurt.

Its not that hard really.
Remove the gas tank. Follow the wires for the handlebars and locate the plug in. unplug it and remove the wires from the plugin. Make sure you make a diagram for the wires so you know where they go again. If you are getting handlebars that are already drilled for wires, fish the wires through the handlebars. If you didnt then you have to mark the handlebars and drill. Install the new bars, wires and controls. Reinstall the tank and you should be good to go.
