Motorcycle Repair: Battery, volt charger, car battery

I have a 1500 vulcan 1999.. I just let my lights on and now my bike won't start. How do I get it to power up? Can I get a jump from a car ? will that work?

Never jump a bike battery with a car battery. To many amps. You are taking a chance on blowing the battery up on the bike.
You need to get a battery charger that has 2 amp, 12 volt charger. Charge it for a few hours and you should be good to go.
