Motorcycle Repair: MOTORCYCLE TAIL LIGHT, buld, light socket

Question

here is the problem when i hit the brake the brake light comes on good
but when i turn the lights on the brake light supposed to stay on for illumination at night
but its not
if someone can help me with it                            thank you

You have two different lights you are talking about. The brake light only works when you press the brake lever. The other is a running light for night time. Check your buld first. It has two filements in it. If the buld is good then check with a test light to make sure you have power going to the light socket. If not then follow the wire to locate the break in the wire.
