Motorcycle Repair: Blowing fuses in 1988 Shadow VLX, shadow vlx, kill switch

My son's Shadow keeps blowing the ignition fuse.  I have looked over all the wiring as best I could and find no broken or bare wires.  I disconnected the kick-stand kill switch, did not help.  My next check is cleaning the ignition switch and the kill/run switch.  Any ideas on what else to check?

I usually only answer questions on Harleys, but I might be able to help.If you are blowing fuses then you have a short somewhere in the wiring. Start at the ignition and work your way back to the battery to locate the problem. You will have to check every wire and every connection until you find the problem.
