Motorcycle Repair: 1982 GL1100 fork seals, ball peen hammer, torque wrench

Question
Chris: how do you replace these seals yourself?

Answer
Hi Kevin.

All the information that you are looking for is in the repair manual, which is a book that you need any time that you are doing critical repairs, such as fork seals.

There are also a couple of job-specific tools that you will need, such as, a torque wrench, a ball peen hammer and a small block of wood.  The actual proceedure is long and drawn out and the diagrams that you WILL need are also in the repair manual along with torqueing specs and other critical information for other repairs.

Sorry that I cannot help you further.
Good luck and ride safe.
