Motorcycle Repair: Tire replacement, honda shadow 600cc, dangerous problem

I cannot figure out how to change the front tire on my 2004 Honda Shadow 600cc.
In the manual that I own it says to not change yourself and to take it to a "Honda Specialist"
This is just not ok, I would like to do it myself.

There is a reason that you need to take the bike to a shop to change the tire.

 Motorcycles, like any other wheeled vehicle, need the tires and wheels balanced when the tire is changed.

 An unbalanced wheel can become a serious and dangerous problem while riding.  If you don't have the right equipment to balance the tire, then you are taking an unacceptable risk with your own safety.

 You don't necessarily need a Honda Specialist, but a Honda certified mechanic is always preferable since he will be familiar with Honda's standards for their bikes.
