Motorcycle Repair: headlight, low beam, v65

Question
the headlighton my 1985 v-65 magna just quit working and ive tested the headlight and fuses and all checked ok ao where do i go from here also i have a 1984 v 65 and when i turn the handlebars to the right is quits Falcon whats wroung with these things?

Hi Ron.

Sounds like your '84 V65 has the same problem as mine......A short in the main wiring harness.  Trace back the wire for the headlight in the main harness at the steering head and you will find your short.  You can either bypass it or repair it.  Either one will work.

The headlight issue on the '85 may have a similar cause.  at least, that is the only logical thing that it could be.  However, in that case, you may want to check the connections and wiring to the high/low beam switch as well.
