Motorcycle Repair: Vacuum Source, 2005 V-Star 1100, cruise control system, vacuum source

I'm installing an Audiovox CCS100 cruise control system on my 2005 V star 1100 Classic. I need a source of vacum for the cruise control servo. What would be the source most suitable for this?

Hi Daniel.

The vacuum line to the fuel valve is a possible source, but you would need to add a "T" connector to it to connect the vacuum line properly.

Alternately, you could run the line to one of the other manifolds as well.

In order to be safe, I would double-check with the manufacturers of both the bike and the cruise control to see what they recommend as the best connection, but the connection choices are few and far between.
