I need step by step help on how to hook up the Throttle and Choke Cables to the Carburetor on my 1981 Suzuki GS850 bike.  I need your help cause right now i don't have the 22 bucks to go buy the manual.  Thank you if you can help.

Hi Don.

Hooking up the cables is a pretty simple proceedure, really.

All of the cables attach to each end component in the same way that the brake cables on a bicycle do.

 Before you start, loosen the mounting on the controls (throttle and choke) and remove the tank. Disconnect the ends of each cable and remove them. Then hook up the carb end of each cable and run each one along the same path as the cable that you are replacing, then hook up the control end.  Tighten everything up, reinstall the tank and you should be ready to go.
