Motorcycle Repair: kz750 clutch cable, clutch pack, clutch cable

Question
I have a 1980 KZ750.  I started it last month and let it run for 1/
2 hour.  Now the clutch cable is frozen solid.  I can't budge it at
all.  I loosened clutch pack and lubed the cable.  Any other
ideas?

Answer
Hi Steve.

Check the clutch pushrod (in the engine).  If it has broken, then that could create a number of problems.  There are any number of other parts which it could be, but all of them are deep in the clutch and transmission mechanisms in the engine.

Let me know what you find.
Good luck and ride safe.
