Motorcycle Repair: Tranny seal, chain sprocket, clutch assembly

Question
I need to replace a tranny seal on a 1977fxs. Is   this a hard job. Do I need to remove the      inner primary.

In order the replace the main seal on the tranny the following has to be removed.
outer primary
clutch assembly
motor sprocket
inner primary
starter
rear chain sprocket
The seal is located behind the rear chain sprocket
