I tried to help a friend charge his battery, but we couldn't figure
out how to get at it.  Can you give us directions?

Hi Dewey,

It's best to drop it out and bench charge it. Removing the battery is not easy, either.

Get a copy of the service manual. It has illustrated procedures and will pay for itself with the first repair you perform.
