Motorcycle Repair: No Headlight, yamaha virago, light bulb

I have a 1982 750 Yamaha Virago.  I cannot get the headlight to work.  I have replaced the light bulb and a relay under the seat.  The fuse appear fine but has not been replaced.  Any suggestons?

The fuse may appear fine, but the only way to know for certain is to try a known good fuse in it's place.

There is also the possibility of a short in the wiring.  Test the headlight wiring for shorts, most often in the harness at the steering head.  That is the most common location for shorts of that type.

Start with that and see what you find.
