Motorcycle Repair: There is difference of opinion..., stock air, screaming eagle

Question
There is difference of opinion on whether I did
the right thing with my 2006 dyna wide glide.
I had screaming eagle mufflers put on, also a
screaming eagle air cleaner.  The bike is fuel
injected so the dealership told me to have it
remapped. (downloaded).  The opinion of some is
that the bike will run to lean.  They feel I
should put the stock air cleaner back on.
Please give me your thoughts on this.
Thanks Dave

Answer
Your bike came from the factory a little lean to pass EPA standards. Changing the mufflers and air cleaner will make it run a little leaner. The onboard computer does not know you made changes, so yes you need to remapp it. This will bring it back to where it should be.
Good luck and happy riding
