Motorcycle Repair: Engine RPM at various speeds, honda vlx 600, website searches

Question
Hi Mark,

Am trying to learn what engine RPM a 2005 Vulcan 500 LTD, and a Honda VLX 600 would be turning at 55MPH and 70MPH.  The Vulcan is has a 6 speed trans, while the Honda has only a 4 speed.  The RPM red line of both engines would also be helpful.  And if these questions are easy I'd also like the full power band specs on both engines, or direction as to where I might find same.

Any help or suggestions as to how I might learn this info would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!

Answer
Hi Phil,

You're testing my resources. [smiling]

Given all the specs on each MC, engine RPM could be calculated. Calculated RPM may be like indicated speeds on our vehicles. Not accurate, but close. Too many variables to consider for spot-on accuracy.

Try model specific website searches for the intel. Here's a link for the Vulcan:

The service manual should have the specs you seek.
